Best DJ Equipment

It's been a while since I posted here, but I haven't forgotten about you guys. Today, I'm going to talk about some of the best DJ equipment. I recently read an article about it on DJ Equipment Guide, which is one of my friend's websites.

First of all, let me say that I don't know a lot about DJ equipment, or music equipment in general. I wasn't in band in high school, and I only played piano for a few years of my childhood. I sucked at it.

Despite all of those facts, I am actually enjoying learning how to DJ. I started off playing DJ Hero 2 at my friend's house, and I became pretty good at it. I'm not sure how much it actually has to do with DJing, but the spinning motion seems like it's pretty applicable to a DJ's skillset, and I'm really good at spinning. Obviously, you don't just press buttons on the track to create random noises, so DJ Hero 2 isn't all THAT accurate.

Next up, I downloaded Virtual DJ, which is a free virtual turntable program. It allows you to quickly and easily mix songs together and create cool mash-ups. It's a lot of fun, and I've killed a ton of time on it over the last few days. I've made a few cool songs, but nothing worth sharing as of yet. Hopefully I'll have more mashups in the future!

I haven't progressed beyond that point yet, but my next step is to buy some cheap DJ equipment, or any sort of DJ equipment really. I think I'll have to buy used gear, as I certainly don't make enough money to afford the best DJ equipment (I wish!)

I've been looking at various DJ equipment brands, and I haven't quite decided what I want to buy. I know Pioneer is a top-quality name, but I've also heard great things about Harman and a couple others.

Anyways, I don't think anything is going to come out of my new interest in DJ equipment, but I can always dream of becoming the next Deadmau5.
